POST Error Messages 1600 Series POST Error Messages Table C-12: 1600 Series POST Error Messages Error Code 1610- Temperature violation detected. Waiting 5 Minutes for System to Cool. 1610- Temperature violation detected. Waiting for system to cool 1610-I/O Board Temperature Violation detected Audible Beeps None 2 short None Probable Source of Problem The ambient system temperature has exceeded acceptable levels. The ambient system temperature is too hot. An overheating condition has occurred on the I/O board. 1611-Fan X not present 1611-CPU Fan failure detected 2 short None Fan is not installed or is not seated. Required fan not spinning. Action Room temperature is too high; lower the room temperature. Check fan in system environment. Turn off system and let it cool down. Be sure that the system fans are functional and that the rack allows adequate ventilation. Also, be sure that the ambient temperature is within the operating parameters of the system. Check your serverspecific user documentation for the temperature requirements of your server. Reseat or install a fan in position X. 1. Check fans. 2. Reseat fan cable. 3.
