It is also necessary to replace the 120 volt plug, supplied with the motor, with a UL/CSA Listed plug suitable for 240 volts and rated current of the saw. Contact a local qualified electrician for proper procedures to install the plug. The table saw must comply with all local and national electrical codes after the 240 volt plug is installed. The table saw with a 240 volt plug should only be connected to an outlet having the same configuration as the plug shown in Figure "1C". No adapter is available or should be used with the 240 volt plug. MAKE CERTAIN that masks or respirators are MSHA/NIOSH approved. The operation of any Table Saw can result in debris being thrown into your eyes, which can result in severe eye damage. ALWAYS wear Safety Goggles (that comply with ANSi standard Z87.1) when operating the Table Saw. Safety Goggles are available at Sears Retail Stores. Keep your thumbs and fingers away from the blade while it is spinning. Basic precautions should always be followed when using your Table Saw. To reduce the risk of injury, electrical shock or fire, comply with the safety rules listed below: 1. READ and understand the instruction manual before operating the Table Saw. 2.
