Then highest switch number, and the highest port number of the range (also separated by a colon) are specified. The beginning and end of the port list range are separated by a dash. For example, 3 would specify port 3. 4 specifies port 4. 3-4 specifies all of the ports between port 3 and port 4 − in numerical order. all − Specifies all of the ports on the switch. authenticator − A user must pass the authentication process to gain access to the network. none − The port is not controlled by the 802.1x functions. Restrictions Only administrator-level users can issue this command. Example Usage: To configure 802.1x capability on ports 1-10: local>config 802.1x capability ports 1 - 10 authenticator Command: config 802.1x capability ports 1-10 authenticator Success. local> config 802.1x auth_parameter Purpose Used to configure the 802.1x 239
