Use the show interfaces command to get more details about installed pluggable media. The display output might include a double asterisk (**) next to the SFMs, for example: ... 0 CC-E-SFM ** 0004875 1 CC-E-SFM ** 0004889 ... 7490007411 A 7490007411 A The double asterisk generally indicates the SFM's frequency capabilities, indicating either that they are operating at 125 MHz or that the frequency capability, which is stored in an EPROM, cannot be determined. If there are no fiber ports in the line card, then just the header under show inventory media will be displayed.
