8 To replace the palm rests, insert the tabs on the inside edge of the palm rest into the slots on the computer. Then press along the outside edges of the palm rest until it snaps into place. Repeat the process on each side. Display Cover 1 Slide your index fingers under the straight edge of the display cover until the cover pops out. 2 Slide the display cover towards the back of the computer. 3 Use your fingers to release the cover completely, and remove it.
