15 Removing the Optical Drive 1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer. 2. Remove: - front bezel - cover - cooling shroud 3. Push the blue release tab in the direction indicated and lift the plastic cover. a) Release the plastic cover from the hinges that secure it on the other side and remove it from the computer. 4. Disconnect the power and data cables from the optical drive. a) Press down and push the blue release tab towards the front of the computer. b) Slide the optical drive out through the front of the computer . 37

Removing the Optical Drive
1.
Follow the procedures in
Before Working Inside Your Computer

Remove:
front bezel
cover
cooling shroud
3.
Push the blue release tab in the direction indicated and lift the plastic cover.
a)
Release the plastic cover from the hinges that secure it on the other side and remove it from the computer.
4.
Disconnect the power and data cables from the optical drive.
a)
Press down and push the blue release tab towards the front of the computer.

Slide the optical drive out through the front of the computer .
