Procedure 1 Align and place the left fan on the palm-rest assembly. 2 Replace the screw (M2x4) that secures the left fan to the palm-rest assembly. 3 Connect the left fan cable (JFAN1) to the system-board assembly. 4 Adhere the tape that secures the display cable to the system-board assembly. 5 Route the display cable through the routing guides on the left fan. NOTE: When routing the display cable, make sure that the cable is not routed over the screw hole on the left fan. 6 Connect the display cable to the system-board assembly. 7 Replace the two screws (M2x4) that secure the display-cable bracket to the system-board assembly. 8 Align and place the right fan on the palm-rest assembly. 9 Connect the right fan cable (JFAN2) cable to the system-board assembly. 10 Route the touch-screen cable (optional) through the routing guides on the right fan. NOTE: When routing the touch-screen cable, ensure that the cable in not routed over the screw hole on the right fan. 11 Adhere the tape that secures the touch-screen cable (optional) to the right fan. 12 Connect the touch-screen cable (optional) to the system-board assembly. 13 Replace the two screws (M2x4) that secure the right fan (JFAN2) to the system-board assembly. Post-requisites 1 Replace the battery (half-length) or the battery (full-length). 2 Replace the base cover. 40 Replacing the fans

Procedure
1
Align and place the left fan on the palm-rest assembly.
2
Replace the screw (M2x4) that secures the left fan to the palm-rest assembly.

Connect the left fan cable (JFAN1) to the system-board assembly.

Adhere the tape that secures the display cable to the system-board assembly.

Route the display cable through the routing guides on the left fan.
NOTE:
When routing the display cable, make sure that the cable is not routed over the screw hole on the left fan.

Connect the display cable to the system-board assembly.

Replace the two screws (M2x4) that secure the display-cable bracket to the system-board assembly.

Align and place the right fan on the palm-rest assembly.

Connect the right fan cable (JFAN2) cable to the system-board assembly.
10
Route the touch-screen cable (optional) through the routing guides on the right fan.
NOTE:
When routing the touch-screen cable, ensure that the cable in not routed over the screw hole on the right fan.

Adhere the tape that secures the touch-screen cable (optional) to the right fan.
12
Connect the touch-screen cable (optional) to the system-board assembly.
13
Replace the two screws (M2x4) that secure the right fan (JFAN2) to the system-board assembly.
Post-requisites
