Procedure 1 Align and place the power-button module and fingerprint-reader board (optional) on the palm-rest assembly. 2 Replace the two screws (M1.6x3) that secure the power-button module to the palm-rest assembly. 3 Replace the screw (M1.6x1.5) that secures the fingerprint-reader board (optional) to the palm-rest assembly. 4 Adhere the tape that secures the power-button module to the palm-rest assembly. 5 Adhere the fingerprint reader daughter-board cable (optional) to the palm-rest assembly. Post-requisites NOTE: The fingerprint reader is available depending on the configuration ordered. 1 Replace the system-board assembly. 2 Replace the fans. 3 Replace the heat sink. 4 Replace the wireless card. 5 Replace the solid-state drive (half-length) or the solid-state drive (full-length). 6 Follow the procedure from step 3 to step 6 in "Replacing the hard drive". 7 Replace the memory modules. 8 Replace the battery (half-length) or the battery (full-length). 9 Replace the base cover. 60 Replacing the fingerprint reader daughter board (optional)

Procedure
1
Align and place the power-button module and
fingerprint-reader
board (optional) on the palm-rest assembly.

Replace the two screws (M1.6x3) that secure the power-button module to the palm-rest assembly.

Replace the screw (M1.6x1.5) that secures the
fingerprint-reader
board (optional) to the palm-rest assembly.
4
Adhere the tape that secures the power-button module to the palm-rest assembly.

Adhere the
fingerprint
reader daughter-board cable (optional) to the palm-rest assembly.
Post-requisites
NOTE:
The
fingerprint
reader is available depending on the
configuration
ordered.

Replace the
