26 Setting Oven Controls Convection broil Use the convect broil feature to cook thicker cuts of meats that require direct exposure to radiant heat and the convect fan for optimum browning results. To set convect broil with a default oven set temperature of 550°F (288ºC): The convection fan will begin rotating once conv broil has been activated and oven door is closed. To stop convect broil at any time press CANCEL. For best results: 1. Press conv broil 2. Press START to accept conv broil START • Be sure to carefully follow all the recommended broil pan and insert instructions and the directions for placing the oven racks as provided in the broil section. • Since convect broil cooks food faster, reduce the cook time by 25% from the recommended cook time of your recipe (check the food at this time). If necessary, increase cook time until the desired doneness is obtained. • Close the oven door when using convect broil.
