Section 3: Installing and Configuring the Print Server Installation and Setup Overview Now you're ready to install and configure the AXIS 1440 for your network. The steps you perform depend on your network protocol and the operating systems on your network. The table on the following page provides guidelines specific to different network requirements. Here is a setup overview: 1. Set up the AXIS 1440 Print Server for your network. 2. Install the AXIS software on server workstations, if setting up a shared printer. (See Software Installation on page 18 for installation instructions.) 3. Install the AXIS software on client workstations printing in peerto-peer mode. 4. Configure each workstation's printer port to use the AXIS 1440 Print Server. Note: t This setup overview assumes that you've already done the following: • Set up your EPSON printer and installed the printer software on each computer that will print over the network. • Attached the AXIS 1440 Print Server to your printer and connected it to the network. 16 AXIS 1440 User's Manual
