Chapter 2 How to Set Up the Print Server 2 2 This chapter explains how to set up the print server. This includes connecting the print server to the network, installing EpsonNet WinAssist/MacAssist, and using EpsonNet WinAssist/ MacAssist to assign an IP address to the print server. 2 2 Connecting the Print Server to the Network 2 Follow the steps below to connect the print server to the network. w 2 Warning: Before you install or uninstall the print server, be sure to turn off the printer and unplug the AC adapter from the wall outlet to prevent electric shock. 2 c Caution: ❏ Do not place anything on top of the print server. ❏ Leave adequate room around the print server for easy 2 operation. ❏ Be sure to use the AC adapter shipped with this package. 2 1. Make sure the printer is turned off. 2 2. Plug the print server into the printer's parallel interface connector and secure it with the wire clips. 2 3.
