3. Lift out the trackball from its holder and wipe it completely with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt and grit. To remove stubborn dirt and stains, moisten the cloth with a neutral detergent. Do not use an alcohol-based cleaner. 4. Use a cotton swab to gently clean the trackball holder. Pressing too hard can cause the holder to move out of position. 5.
