An introduction to the MATH Menu The MATH menu holds all the functions that are not used often enough to be worth a key of their own. There is a very large supply of functions available, many of them extremely powerful, listed in their own chapter later in the book. When you press the MATH key you will see the pop up screen shown right. The left hand menu is a list of topics. Scroll through the topics until you find the one you want, then use the right arrow key to move into the list of functions for that topic. For example: The function ROUND will round off to a specified number of decimal places. E.g. round off 145.25667 to 3 decimal places. ! Press the MATH key & right arrow (→) into the Real group of functions. ! Press the 'R' key (the 9 key) to move to the first of the functions beginning with 'R', then move down one more function to ROUND. Press ENTER. ! Now finish off the command and press ENTER again to see the result. See page 243 for a far more detailed look at the Math Menu. 47
