Software Installation Overview for Macintosh Single Users Read this overview if you are a single user whose Macintosh computer is the only one connected to the printer and the computer is connected to the printer by a LocalTalk or EtherTalk cable. 1 Set up the AppleTalk (or Network) Chooser for either an EtherTalk connection or a LocalTalk (Printer Port) connection. 2 Install the software and the online user guide (optional) on the computer that is connected to the printer. For instructions, see the Macintosh section in Task 13, "Install the Software". 3 In the Chooser, configure a printer driver for the new printer PPD. For instructions, see the HP LaserJet Printing Guide for Macintosh, v. 2.5, an online Help file located in the HP LaserJet folder that is installed on the hard disk. On all computers that print to the printer, configure the printer driver to show that the 500-sheet paper feeder and duplex printing accessory are installed. Software Installation Overview for Macintosh
Single Users
Read this overview if you are a single user whose Macintosh
computer is the only one connected to the printer and the computer is
connected to the printer by a LocalTalk or EtherTalk cable.
