Accessing HP ProtectTools Security To access HP ProtectTools Security Manager from Windows® Control Panel: 1. In Windows Vista®, click Start, and then click HP ProtectTools Security Manager for Administrators. - or - In Windows XP, click Start, click All Programs, and then click HP ProtectTools Security Manager. NOTE: If you are not an HP ProtectTools administrator, you can run HP ProtectTools in nonadministrator mode to view information, but you cannot make changes. 2. In the left pane, click HP ProtectTools, and then click Getting Started. 3. To access HP ProtectTools Security Manager from Windows® Control Panel:
