Fingerprint reader board, Remove the touchpad from the computer

Before removing the touchpad, follow these steps: 1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 37). 2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 37). 3. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 44). Remove the touchpad: 1. Disconnect the system board cable from the ZIF connector on the touchpad (1). 2. Lift the tape off the top of the touchpad (2). 3. Release the keyboard backlight cable from the adhesive that secures it to the top of the touchpad (3). 4. Remove the four Phillips M2.0× 2.0 screws (4) that secure the touchpad to the computer. 5. Remove the two Phillips M1.6 × 2.0 screws (5) that secure the touchpad to the computer. 6. Remove the touchpad from the computer (6). NOTE: If an NFC module is installed, disconnect the NFC antenna cable from the ZIF connector on the NFC module. The antenna is secured to the touchpad. Reverse this procedure to install the touchpad. Remove the touchpad:
1.
Disconnect the system board cable from the ZIF connector on the touchpad

2.
Lift the tape off the top of the touchpad

3.
Release the keyboard backlight cable from the adhesive that secures it to the top of the touchpad

4.
Remove the four Phillips M2.0× 2.0 screws

that secure the touchpad to the computer.
5.
Remove the two Phillips M1.6 × 2.0 screws
(5)
that secure the touchpad to the computer.
6.
Remove the touchpad from the computer

NOTE:
If an NFC module is installed, disconnect the NFC antenna cable from the ZIF connector on the
NFC module. The antenna is secured to the touchpad.
Reverse this procedure to install the touchpad.
