CAUTION Be careful not to damage the light pipes as you insert the drive. They are very fragile. Figure 4-6. Installing a Drive into the Hot-Swap Cage 2. Press in the ejector handle until you feel the locking latch click into place. Closing the ejector handle engages the drive with the electrical connector in the hot-swap cage. 3. If the drive is unseated in the cage after closing the ejector handle, the handle was probably not pulled out far enough, and the locking latch failed to engage the connector. Repeat from Step 2. 40

Installing Hot-Swap Drives

Slowly slide the drive into the hot-swap cage (Figure 4-6) until it seats into
its connector.
CAUTION
Be careful not to damage the light pipes as you insert the
drive. They are very fragile.

Press in the ejector handle until you feel the locking latch click into place.
Closing the ejector handle engages the drive with the electrical connector
in the hot-swap cage.
3.
If the drive is unseated in the cage after closing the ejector handle, the
handle was probably not pulled out far enough, and the locking latch failed
to engage the connector. Repeat from Step 2.
