Getting Started with Your HP Notebook Setting Up Your Computer To connect the floppy disk drive If you don't have an expansion base, you can connect the floppy disk drive to a USB port. • Connect the F2101A USB floppy cable directly to the floppy drive and to the USB port. If you have an expansion base, you can insert the floppy drive in a module bay-see "To replace a plug-in module" on page 46. To connect the floppy disk drive
If you don’t have an expansion base, you can connect the floppy disk drive to a USB
port.

Connect the F2101A USB floppy cable directly to the floppy drive and to the USB
port.
If you have an expansion base, you can insert the floppy drive in a module bay—see “To
replace a plug-in module” on page 46.
You cannot use the USB floppy cable to connect any other type of drive module, such as
a CD-ROM or DVD drive. The USB floppy cable is for floppy drives only.
