22. Remove the latching mechanism from the tabs that hold it in place (3), slide the mechanism until it clears the tabs (4), and then lift the mechanism from the display (5). Reverse this procedure to reassemble and install the display assembly. System board NOTE: All system board spare part kits include replacement thermal material. Description ● System board for use in models without WWAN ● System board for use in models with WWAN Spare part number 658544-001 658545-001 Before removing the system board, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 41). 5. Remove the following components: a. Bottom door (see Bottom door on page 48). b. Hard drive (see Hard drive on page 53) c.
