Bottom cover NOTE: The bottom cover spare part kit includes rubber feet. Description Bottom cover Spare part number 912990-001 Before disassembling the computer, follow these steps: 1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer. Remove the bottom cover: 1. Close the computer and position it upside down. 2. Pry the two rear feet of the bottom of the computer (1). 3. Remove the two Phillips M2.0×9.0 screws (2) from under the rear feet. 4. Remove the two Torx T8M2.0×3.5 screws (3) and the four Torx T8M2.0×9.0 screws (4) that secure the bottom cover to the computer. 5. Starting near the hinges, pry the bottom cover (5) off the computer. Before disassembling the computer, follow these steps:
