RTC battery RTC battery spare part kits include replacement rubber feet. Description RTC battery Spare part number 913007-001 IMPORTANT: The RTC battery is located under the main system battery. Before removing the RTC battery, follow these steps: 1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer. 4. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 22). 5. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 23). Remove the RTC battery: 1. Position the system board upside-down. 2. Use a tool to pry the battery out of the socket (1). 3. Remove the battery from the system board (2). IMPORTANT:
The RTC battery is located under the main system battery.
Before removing the RTC battery, follow these steps:
1.
Turn
off
the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is
off
or in Hibernation,
turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect the power from the computer by
first
unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then
unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
3.
Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4.
Remove the bottom cover (see

).
5.
Remove the battery (see
Battery
on page
23
).
Remove the RTC battery:
1.
Position the system board upside-down.
2.
Use a tool to pry the battery out of the socket

Remove the battery from the system board

Reverse this procedure to install the RTC battery.
