Before replacing the computer feet, follow these steps: ▲ Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 26). Remove the computer feet: NOTE: The appearance of the rubber feet and the number of screws may differ for your computer. 1. Close the computer and position it upside down, with the front toward you. 2. Insert a tool (1) with no sharp edges between the base enclosure and one end of the rubber feet. 3. Pull up the rubber feet (2) lightly and quickly. 4. Carefully remove the rubber feet (3). To install the rubber feet, refit them on the adhesive backing. NOTE: The bottoms of the computer feet are ribbed. These ribs are designed to fit only one way in the grooves that are in the enclosure. Make sure the feet are positioned in those grooves when reinstalling the feet. Component replacement procedures 27

Close the computer and position it upside down, with the front toward you.
2.
Insert a tool

3.
Pull up the rubber feet
