CONTROLS AND FEATURES Note: Power is turned on automatically when the cassette is loaded. 5. AUDIO DUBBING BUTTON Turns the audio dubbing features on. To turn this feature off, press STOP button. See page 47 for details. 6. VIDEO DUBBING BUTTON Turns the video dubbing features on. To turn this feature off, press STOP button. See page 48 for details. 7. CHANNEL SELECT BUTTONS Select the channels you wish to view or to record by pressing these buttons. And you can also select L (line)* by pressing these buttons to record or watch the program input at the VIDEO IN and AUDIO IN. (*One channel position either higher or lower outside the range of your preset channels.) 8. REC/IRT BUTTON Press to start recording. 9. PAUSE/STILL BUTTON Press to pause during recording or playback. 10. INFRARED RAY RECEIVING SECTION Receives the infrared ray from remote control unit. 11. SHUTTLE RING During play, turn this ring to speed up or slow down playback speed at a smooth variable rate for everything from slow motion to forward search. Removing the hand from the ring restores a normal play. 12. PLAY/STILL BUTTON Press in the stop mode to set the VCR to the playback mode. Press during play to set the VCR to the still play mode. Press again to restore normal play. 13. POWER BUTTON Turn system power on and off. 14. STOP/EJECT BUTTON If this button is pressed, while the set is operating, the running of tape stops and all operating modes are cancelled (except for timer recording). The cassette is ejected, when this button is pressed again in STOP mode. 12
