Setting the Dial Mode For PSTN calls, in order to provide compatibility with other telephone systems, your handset can be set to either tone dialing or pulsing dialing. To set the dial mode, do as follows: Step 1 In standby mode, press to display the main menu. Step 2 Press or repeatedly to select BS Settings and then press . Step 3 Press or repeatedly to select Dial Mode, and then press . Step 4 Press or to select Tone (tone dialing) or Pulse (pulsing dialing). Step 5 Press to save the settings. Setting the Ring tone To set the ring tone and the ring tone volume, do as follows: Step 1 In standby mode, press to display the main menu. Step 2 Press or repeatedly to select HS Settings and then press . Step 3 Press or repeatedly to select Ring Setup, and then press . Step 4 Press or to select INT Ring or EXT Ring, and then press . Step 5 Press or to select Melody, and then press . Step 6 Press or to select the ring tone you like, and then press . Step 7 Press or to select Volume, and then press . Step 8 Press or to set the ring tone volume based on your requirement. Step 9 Press to save the settings. If you turn the ringer off, when there is an incoming call, only the incoming call message appears on the LCD. Performing Auto Answer With this function, you can answer a call by picking the handset from the base without pressing any key. To enable the auto answer function, do as follows: Step 1 In standby mode, press to display the main menu. Step 2 Press or repeatedly to select HS Settings and then press .
