Overview This chapter details a complete Unix setup including: 1. Configuring the Ethernet Interface with its mandatory TCP/IP settings (i.e. IP address and subnet mask). 2. Configuring the Unix host station with a new printer. Environment Description The Ethernet Interface supports network printing under various TCP/IP environments including all variations of Unix. Printing can come from multiple hosts directly or through central spooling machines. Figure 5-1 illustrates this. Figure 5-1. Overview
This chapter details a complete Unix setup including:
