World Wide Web (WWW). A network of servers that contain programs and files. Many of the files contain hypertext links to other documents available through the network. WWN. See worldwide name. WWW. See World Wide Web. Z zone. A set of devices and hosts attached to the same fabric and configured as being in the same zone. Devices and hosts within the same zone have access permission to others in the zone, but are not visible to any outside the zone. See also zoning. zone alias. An alias for a set of port numbers or worldwide names (WWNs). Zone aliases can be used to simplify the entry of port numbers and WWNs. For example, "host" could be used as an alias for a WWN of 110:00:00:60:69:00:00:8a. zone configuration. A set of zones designated as belonging to the same zone configuration. When a zone configuration is in effect, all valid zones in that configuration are also in effect. zone member. A port, node, worldwide name (WWN), or alias, which is part of a zone. zone scheme.
