DSC OPERATION 6 D Transmitting an All Ships Call Large ships use Channel 70 as their 'listening channel.' When you want to announce a message to all ships within range, use the 'All Ships Call' function. q Enter "#NN5JKRU%CNN" in the DSC menu. ❮&5%/GPW❯ ➪ ❮#NN5JKRU%CNN❯ (Push [MENU]) (Rotate [SELECTOR], then push [ENT].) w Rotate [SELECTOR] to select a desired category, then push [ENT]. • The selectable category may differ, depending on the programmed setting. Ask your dealer for the selectable categories. &5% /GPW 5GNGEV %CVGIQT[ 5CHGV[ 7TIGPE[ %.4 'ZKV '06 1- e Rotate [SELECTOR] to select a desired traffic channnel, then push [ENT]. • The selected channel is displayed. &5% /GPW 5GNGEV 6TCHHKE %* &5% /GPW 6 #NN 5JKRU %CNN 4GCF[ %.4 'ZKV '06 1- %.4 'ZKV '06 1- r Push [ENT] to transmit the All Ships Call. • Channel 70 is selected and the All Ships Call is transmitted. t After the call has been transmitted, the following message is displayed. #NN 5JKRU %CNN 6: %QORNGVG %.4 'ZKV y Push [CLR] to exit and the transceiver automatically se- lects Channel 16. • Even if [CLR] hasn't been pushed, the transceiver automatically selects Channel 16 after 2 seconds of inactivity. 27
