6 DSC OPERATION ■ Receiving DSC Calls (Continued) D Receiving a Geographical Area call While monitoring Channel 70 and a Geographical Area call (for the area you are in) is received: ➥ Emergency alarm or beeps sound depending on the re- ceived category. ➥ "4GEGKXGF)GQITCRJKE" appears on the display. ➥ " " and the LCD backlight blink. 9 +06 6#) 4GEGKXGF )GQITCRJKE 1UCMC $C[ %.4 $GGR 1HH 5#('6; ➥ Push [CLR] to stop the beeps and the backlight blinking, then push [ENT] to change to the channel specified by the calling station for voice communication; push other key to ignore the Geographical Area call. ➥ Monitor the selected channel for an announcement from the calling station.
