Adjusting the sound To adjust the sound: 1 Press TV to select TV mode. 2 Press TV MENU. The Main Menu opens. • Surround-Turns surround sound on or off. When this setting is set to On, the dynamic presence and sound created offers a throughly enjoyable listening experience. • Audio Language-See "Selecting the audio language" on page 20. • Digital Audio Mode-See "Selecting the digital audio mode" on page 21. • HDMI1 Audio-See "Selecting HDMI or DVI audio input source" on page 21. • Speakers-See "Turning off the internal speakers" on page 22. 5 Press TV MENU to return to the previous menu, or press EXIT to close the menu. Selecting the audio language To select the audio language: 1 Press TV to select TV mode. 2 Press TV MENU. The Main Menu opens. 3 Press or to select Audio, then press or ENTER. The Audio menu opens. You can select: • Bass-Adjusts the lower sounds. • Treble-Adjusts the higher sounds. • Balance-Adjust the balance between the speakers to get an equal sound level from both speakers. • MTS-Selects the sound mode. You can select: • Stereo-Lets you listen to stereo audio (this setting automatically outputs the type of sound being broadcast, either stereo or mono. • SAP-Lets you listen to a second audio program (SAP) instead of normal audio. • Mono-Lets you listen to monaural sound only. 3 Press or to select Audio, then press or ENTER.
