Peripheral Configuration Submenu (continued) Feature Options Description Interrupt • IRQ 3 (This feature is displayed (default) only if Serial Port B is set • IRQ 4 to Enabled.) Specifies the interrupt for serial port B, if serial port B is set to Enabled. Parallel port • Disabled Configures the parallel port. • Enabled Auto assigns LPT1 the address 378h and the interrupt IRQ7. • Auto (default) An * (asterisk) displayed next to an address indicates a conflict with another device. Mode • Output Only Selects the mode for the parallel port. Not available if the • Bi-directional parallel port is disabled. (default) Output Only operates in AT†-compatible mode. • EPP Bi-directional operates in PS/2-compatible mode. • ECP EPP is Extended Parallel Port mode, a high-speed bi-directional mode. ECP is Enhanced Capabilities Port mode, a high-speed bi-directional mode. Base I/O address (This feature is present only when Parallel Port is set to Enabled) • 378 (default) Specifies the base I/O address for the parallel port. • 278 Interrupt (This feature is present only when Parallel Port is set to Enabled) • IRQ 5 • IRQ 7 (default) Specifies the interrupt for the parallel port. DMA (This feature is present only when Parallel Port Mode is set to ECP) • 1 • 3 (default) Specifies the DMA channel. Audio Device • Disabled • Enabled (default) Enables or disables the onboard audio subsystem. For boards with no onboard audio subsystem, this option does not appear; however, this option does appear if a CNR card with an audio subsystem is installed. LAN Device • Disabled • Enabled (default) Enables or disables the onboard LAN device. For boards with no onboard LAN audio subsystem, this option will not appear; however, this option does appear if a CNR card with a LAN subsystem is installed. Modem Device • Disabled • Enabled (default) Enables or disables a modem device on a CNR card. This option appears only when a CNR card with a modem is installed.
