The drives are mounted inside the systems. The Intel® Server System SR1530HCL/SR1530HCLR (SATA) can support up to three SATA hot-swap hard disk drives. The Intel® Server System SR1530HCLS/SR1530HCLSR (SAS) can support up to three SATA or three SAS hard disk drives. 4.2.1 Hot-Swap Hard Disk Drive Trays Each hard drive must be mounted to a hot-swap drive tray, making insertion and extraction of the drive from the system very simple. Each drive tray has its own dual purpose latching mechanism which is used to both insert and extract drives from the system and lock the tray in place. Each drive tray supports a light pipe providing a drive status indicator, located on the backplane, to be viewable from the front of the system. Revision 2.2 19 Intel order number D71005-005
