How to Use the Authentication Unit 5 5.6 PKI Card Print 5.6.1 Overview This function encrypts print data using the CAC/PIV card before sending the data from the printer driver to the MFP. The print data is saved in the PKI Encrypted Document User Box of the MFP, when the user authenticates at the MFP using their CAC/PIV card the print data is decrypted and print is outputted. The print data is encrypted when it is sent from the printer driver and can only be printed when authentication at the MFP using the CAC/PIV card is successful; therefore, this ensures the confidentiality of the documents. Overview
This function encrypts print data using the CAC/PIV card before sending the
data from the printer driver to the MFP. The print data is saved in the PKI
Encrypted Document User Box of the MFP, when the user authenticates at
the MFP using their CAC/PIV card the print data is decrypted and print is
