Messaging Now, through the enhanced Sprint Nationwide PCS Network, you can send and receive email and instant messages on your PCS Phone. Message Types There are many types of PCS Text Messaging available on your phone. (PCS Voicemail provides voicemail-to-mailbox messaging. For information on using your phone's voicemail feature, see "Using Voicemail" on page 90.) PCS Messages These appear on your screen as Page/Text and include numeric messages, PCS Short Mail, PCS Updates, and PCS Mail. Editing Folders To edit a folder: 1. From the main menu, select Messaging ( 3 ). 2. Select Notifications ( 3 ). 3. Highlight the folder you wish to edit and press the right softkey button (Actions). 4. Select Edit Folder ( 3 ). 5. To select an option, highlight it and press OK . ᮣ The keyword field to change the folder's keyword. Incoming messages are automatically filtered into the folder if they contain the keyword you enter. ᮣ The folder name field to edit the folder's name. ᮣ The ringer field to select a sound to play when new messages arrive.
