Display Settings Changing the Greeting The greeting can be up to twelve characters and is displayed on the first line of your phone's display screen in standby mode. You may choose to display a custom greeting or you may display your PCS User name on the phone's screen (the phone's default setting). To display or change your custom greeting: 1. From the main menu, select Settings ( 8 ). 2. Select Display ( 2 ). 3. Select Greeting ( 1 ). 4. Select Custom Greeting and press OK . 5. Enter a custom greeting using your keypad and press OK . (See "Selecting a Character Input Mode" on page 62.) To display your PCS User name as your greeting (the phone's default setting): 1. From the main menu, select Settings ( 8 ). 2.
