Entering Characters by Tapping the Keypad To enter characters by tapping the keypad, select the Abc mode (see "Selecting a Character Input Mode" on page 62). Press the corresponding key until the desired character appears. By default, the first letter of a word is capitalized and following letters are lowercase. Characters scroll in the following order: ᮣ 1 .,-?!'@:1 ᮣ 2 ABC2 ᮣ 3 DEF3 ᮣ 4 GHI4 ᮣ 5 JKL5 ᮣ 6 MNO6 ᮣ 7 PQRS7 ᮣ 8 TUV8 ᮣ 9 WXYZ9 0 ᮣ 0 ᮣ # Space ᮣ Shift After a character is entered, the cursor automatically advances to the next space after two seconds or when you enter a character not on the same key. Entering Symbols, Numbers and Emoticons To enter symbols, select the Symbols mode. (See "Selecting a Character Input Mode" on page 62.) To enter a symbol, press the appropriate key indicated on the display. To enter numbers, select the 123 mode and press the appropriate key. (See "Selecting a Character Input Mode" on page 62.) Entering Characters by Tapping the Keypad
To enter characters by tapping the keypad, select the
