Video Options This section describes video options that are supported by your computer. Matrox Upgrade Modules: Your computer supports Matrox memory and multimedia upgrade modules. Descriptions of the upgrades follow. Note: Your computer supports a maximum of one Matrox upgrade module. This means that you cannot install both a memory upgrade module and a multimedia upgrade module at the same time. Memory Upgrade: Your computer has 2 MB of video memory (SGRAM) soldered to the system board. You can upgrade the video memory to 4 MB total with a Matrox memory upgrade module (daughter card). Multimedia Upgrade: Your computer supports Matrox Rainbow Runner Studio multimedia upgrade modules. These upgrades are available in several configurations: Rainbow Runner Studio, which includes features such as a hardware Moving Pictures Experts Group (MPEG) and Audio Video Interlace (AVI) decoder snap-on module; hardware motion JPEG (Joint Photographic Experts Group) encoder/decoder; Video Out for displaying PC applications on your TV; Video In for capturing video from external devices; full-screen, full-motion MPEG and AVI playback; and accelerated DirectDraw video. Rainbow Runner TV, which is a cable-ready, Plug and Play, ISA adapter for PC-based multimedia applications. When this adapter is installed, you can watch TV in a window on your computer Desktop. The adapter supports 125 cable channels at full National Television Standards Committee (NTSC) frame rates. This option must be used in conjunction with the Rainbow Runner Studio option. Video Adapters: The computer system board has a VGA VESA feature connector that supports special function video adapters, such as the ReelMagic TV tuner and MPEG decoder adapters.
