Your computer has two memory slots for installing or replacing DDR3 SODIMMs (small outline dual inline memory modules). When installing or replacing a memory module, use 1 GB, 2 GB or 4 GB DDR3 SODIMMs in any combination up to a maximum of 8 GB of system memory. To install or replace a memory module, do the following: 1. Remove all media from the drives and turn off all attached devices and the computer. Then, disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets and disconnect all cables that are connected to the computer. 2. Place a soft, clean towel or cloth on the desk or other flat surface.
