It is useful when you are hosting your own website, FTP server, or other server behind the router. By default, DDNS service is disabled. To enable and configure the DDNS settings for your router, follow these steps: STEP 1 To use DDNS service, sign up for one at DynDNS.org or TZO.com. Configuring DDNS Service Settings
DDNS lets you assign a fixed host and domain name to a dynamic Internet IP
address. It is useful when you are hosting your own website, FTP server, or other
server behind the router.
By default, DDNS service is disabled.
To enable and configure the DDNS settings for your router, follow these steps:
STEP 1
To use DDNS service, sign up for one at DynDNS.org or TZO.com.
STEP 2
To configure your router to use DynDNS.org:
a.
From the DDNS Service drop-down menu, select
DynDNS.org
.
b.
Configure the DynDNS.org settings:
User Name, Password, and Host Name
—Enter the User Name, Password,
and Host Name of the account you set up with DynDNS.org.
Status
—The status of the DDNS service connection.
