Hard Drive or USB Flash Drive Not Listed as a Storage Device If your hard drive is not listed as a storage device, try the following, starting with the first. • Make sure that the hard drive is fully inserted into the hard drive slot and that the cover has been replaced. Turn the console off, then on again. • Turn the console off and remove the hard drive. Turn the console on and then off again. Reinsert the hard drive, replace the hard drive cover and turn the console on again. • If available, try the hard drive on another console or try another hard drive on your console to pinpoint the problem. NOTE Damaged hard drives might not show up in the Xbox Guide and could harm your Xbox 360 console. Hard drives that have been crushed, immersed in liquids or exposed to intense heat may be damaged beyond use and will not appear in your list of storage devices. USB storage devices have a capacity of 1-GB or greater and can be configured for use with Xbox 360. Some slower devices won't be configurable to work with Xbox 360. english 17
