For the switch log and the console log individually, in the Log Settings section, select the logging level from the Switch Logging Level menu or the Console Logging Level menu: • Emergency: Level 0, the system is unusable. • Alert: Level 1, action must be taken immediately. • Critical: Level 2, critical conditions. • Error: Level 3, error conditions. If you enable console logging, this is the default level. • Warning: Level 4, warning conditions. • Notice: Level 5, normal but significant conditions. This is the default level for switch logging. • Informational: Level 6, informational messages. • Debug: Level 7, debug-level messages. Note: A log records messages equal to or above the selected severity level. For example, if you select the Warning level from the menu, the switch records messages at the Warning, Error, Critical, Alert, and Emergency levels. 7. Click the Apply button. Your settings are saved. 8. To save the settings to the running configuration, at the top of the page, click the Save icon or text. Display or download the message log You can display or download the message log. To display or download the message log: 1. Launch a web browser. 2. In the address field of your web browser, enter the IP address of the switch. The login page displays. 3. In the Login Name field, enter admin as the user name, in the Password field, enter your local device password, and click the AV UI Login button. The first time that you log in, no password is required. However, you then must specify a local device password to use each subsequent time that you log in. The Overview page displays. You can display or download the message log.
To display or download the message log:
1.
Launch a web browser.

In the address field of your web browser, enter the IP address of the switch.
The login page displays.
