D (Manual) Mode Set the shutter speed and aperture value, and shoot pictures. 1 Rotate the mode dial to D. Shoot pictures using A, B, C, D, E and F 2 Press the multi selector K to activate the shutter speed setting. • The active setting switches between shutter speed and aperture each time the multi selector K is pressed. • At speeds slower than 1/4 second, the shutter speed indicator turns red (A63). 3 Rotate the command dial to choose the shutter speed value between 1/2000 second and 8 seconds. • When adjusting aperture or shutter speed, the degree of deviation from the exposure value measured by the camera is displayed for a few seconds in the exposure display. 1/125 F2.8 16 1/125 F2.8 16 1/60 F2.8 16 • The degree of deviation in the exposure display is shown in EVs (-2 to +2 EV in increments of 1/3 EV). A display similar to that illustrated at right indicates that the picture will be overexposed by 1 EV (+1).
