5. Using the menu The phone offers you an extensive range of functions that are grouped into menus. Most of the menu functions are provided with a brief help text. To view the help text, scroll to the menu function that you want and wait for 15 seconds. To exit the help text, press Back. You can set the phone to display or hide the menu help texts in the Help text activation menu. See Phone settings on page 95. ■ Accessing a menu function By scrolling 1. To access the menu, press Menu. 2. Scroll up or down through the menu list, or scroll with any of the scroll keys if the grid menu view is selected. Select, for example, Settings by pressing Select. You can change the menu view in the Menu view submenu. See Main display settings on page 88. 3. If the menu contains submenus, select the one that you want, for example Call settings. 4. Using the menu
The phone offers you an extensive range of functions that are grouped into
menus. Most of the menu functions are provided with a brief help text. To view
the help text, scroll to the menu function that you want and wait for 15 seconds.

By scrolling

To access the menu, press

2.
Scroll up or down through the menu list, or scroll with any of the scroll keys if
the grid menu view is selected.
