Taking Movie Pictures (continued) Movie picture record mode For movie pictures, there are two modes with different image sizes and resolutions. Movie picture record modes are set with the still picture record mode settings. To change them, first cancel "Shooting movies" and enter the still picture record mode to set the desired resolution (p.80). Shooting hints Start shooting a few moments before the action starts, and stop shooting a few moments after it ends. This will ensure that you don't miss any of the action at the beginning or end of the scene. After you finish shooting you can go back and trim off the extra frames at the beginning and end (see p.108). Settings return to the default when the power is turned off. When the power is turned off, the camera will return to the "Still Picture" mode. HELP • Movie picture quality may be grainier than still shots. • The scope of the shot may actually be slightly narrower than it appears in the initial composition. • A strip of light may appear at the top and bottom of the monitor. Creating Panoramic Pictures
(Card Function)
Using standard Olympus SmartMedia cards also allows you to shoot
panoramic shots easily.This function is not available with other brands
of cards.
With multiple images in which the edges of the subject can be
overlapped, it is possible to use CAMEDIA Master 2.0 utility software
to combine the images into a single panoramic shot. The panorama
assembly function works only with Olympus-brand standard cards.

Menu” (p.74).
