Advanced Setup-Continued 4 ENTER 5 Use the Up and Down [ ]/[ ] buttons to select the signal format that you want to set, and then use the Left and Right [ ]/ [ ] buttons to select a listening mode. Only listening modes that can be used with each input signal format can be selected. For "Surround" or "THX," the listening mode specified on pages 68, 69 will be used. The Last Valid option means that the listening mode selected last will be used. a. Ana/PCM: With this setting, you can specify the listening mode to be used when an analog (CD, TV, LD, VHS, MD, turntable, radio, cassette, cable, satellite, etc) or PCM digital (CD, DVD, etc) audio signal is played. b. Dolby D: With this setting, you can specify the listening mode to be used when a Dolby Digital format digital audio signal is played (DVD, etc). c. DTS: With this setting, you can specify the listening mode to be used when a DTS format digital audio signal is played (DVD, LD, CD, etc). d. D.F. 2ch: With this setting, you can specify the listening mode to be used when a 2-channel (2/0) digital audio signal (Dolby Digital, DTS) is played (DVD, etc). e. D.F. Mono: With this setting, you can specify the listening mode to be used when a mono digital audio signal is played (DVD, etc). f. Multiplex: With this setting, you can specify the listening mode to be used when a multiplex audio signal is played. g. Multich: This setting is available only when "5-1. DVD/MULTCH" is selected. With this setting, you can specify the listening mode to be used when the DVD analog multichannel input is used. When you've finished, press the [SETUP] button. The setup menu closes. Note: • This procedure can also be performed on the AV receiver by using its [SETUP] button, arrow buttons, and [ENTER] button. 73
