Mini Port Replicator 73 You can use an optional mini port replicator (CF-VEBU08U for CF-F8 Series, CF-VEBU05BU for CF-W8/CF-T8 Series). This device frees you from being bothered by a lot of cable connections when you carry the computer. It also allows you to connect various peripherals. Connect the mini port replicator to the mini port replicator connector (A). For further information, refer to the instruction manual of the mini port replicator. CF-F8 Series CF-W8/CF-T8 Series NOTE z To use the mini port replicator, set [USB Port] setting to [Enabled] (default) in the [Advanced] menu of the Setup Utility. z When the mini port replicator is connected, LAN cable should be connected to the mini port replicator. The LAN port cannot be used. z When the mini port replicator is connected, an external display should be connected to the mini port replicator. The external display port cannot be used. z If devices connected to USB ports (2a, 2b, 2c) does not operate: In the case of devices with consumption voltage exceeding 100 mA, or devices for which the consumption voltage cannot be confirmed, connect via USB port 1 or the computer's USB port. z If you use an external display compatible with "DisplayPort connector", connect it to a "DisplayPort connector" on an optional mini port replicator (CF-VEBU08U) using a cable compatible with "DisplayPort connector".

Mini Port Replicator
You can use an optional mini port replicator (CF-VEBU08U for CF-F8 Series, CF-VEBU05BU
for CF-W8/CF-T8 Series). This device frees you from being bothered by a lot of cable con-
nections when you carry the computer. It also allows you to connect various peripherals.
Connect the mini port replicator to the mini port replicator connector (A).
For further information, refer to the instruction manual of the mini port replicator.
NOTE
To use the mini port replicator, set [USB Port] setting to [Enabled] (default) in the [Advanced] menu of the Setup Utility.
When the mini port replicator is connected, LAN cable should be connected to the mini port replicator.
The LAN port cannot be used.
<Only for CF-W8/CF-T8 Series>
When the mini port replicator is connected, an external display should be connected to the mini port replicator.
The external display port cannot be used.
If devices connected to USB ports (2a, 2b, 2c) does not operate:
In the case of devices with consumption voltage exceeding 100 mA, or devices for which the consumption voltage
cannot be confirmed, connect via USB port 1 or the computer’s USB port.
<Only for CF-F8 Series>
If you use an external display compatible with “DisplayPort connector”, connect it to a “DisplayPort connector” on an
optional mini port replicator (CF-VEBU08U) using a cable compatible with “DisplayPort connector”.
