Self-timer recording This is for recording using the timer. You can record still pictures on an SD card using the timer. ¬ Rotate the mode dial to select . 1 Press the button in the center to display the icon shown in the figure. 2 3 1 Press the cursor button left to select the [Ø] self-timer icon. The [Ø10] icon flashes orange, then lights white. ≥ Each time the left cursor button is pressed, the indication changes by one setting in the following order: [Ø10]>[Ø2]>setting cancelled. - - Ø Ø120 : Starts recording after 10 seconds : Starts recording after 2 seconds Press the record button. After [Ø2] the indication lamp and the indication flash for the time [Ø10] which or has been set, recording will start. After recording, the self-timer is cancelled. 1 Indication lamp ≥ When the record button is pressed halfway and then all the way, the subject will be brought into focus when the record button was pressed halfway. ≥ When the record button is pressed all the way at once, the subject will be focused just before the recording. To stop the timer midway through Press the [MENU] button. (The self-timer setting is cancelled.) ≥ By operating the [ON/OFF] switch or mode dial, the self-timer standby mode is canceled. ≥ Depending on the time taken to bring the subject into focus, the recording may take 56 longer than set to start. VQT0T50 ≥ Setting the self-timer to [Ø2] is a good way to prevent image shake when the record button is pressed while using a tripod etc.
