If the machine is operated more than this, shorter intervals are recommended. 10.02 10 - 1 Cleaning 3 2 14 A Turn the machine offl • Clean the hook compartment daily with a brush, more often if in continuous operation • Thoroughly clean the hook once a week. • Open the bed slide. • Bring the needle bar to its highest position. • Remove the bobbin case cap and the bobbin. • Unscrew hook gib 1. • Turn the handwheel until point 2 penetrates into groove 3 approx. 5 mm. • In this position, remove bobbin case 4. Fig. 1001 • Clean the hook race with paraffin. • When inserting the bobbin case, ensure that horn 5 meshes in the groove of the needle plate (see arrow). • Finally, screw hook gib 1 back on. • Insert the bobbin case and close the bed slide.
