Cleaning the Scanning Glass Keeping the scanning glass clean helps ensure the best possible copies. We suggest that you clean the scanning glass at the start of each day and during the day, as needed. 1 Slightly dampen a soft lint-free cloth or paper towel with water. 2 Open the control panel by gripping its top and pulling it. 3 Carefully wipe the scanning glass with a soft dry cloth. If the glass is very dirty, first wipe it with a slightly dampened cloth, and then with a dry cloth. Be very careful not to scratch the glass surface. 7 4 Close the control panel firmly until it clicks into place. MAINTENANCE 7.5
