USING THE SCANNER USING THE BOOK MODE With the Book Mode, you place the object you want to scan directly onto the glass. You must use this mode when scanning pages in a book, magazine, or other bound document. You can scan a page that contains figures written in pencil, toner, ink, ball point pen, or anything else that does not stick to the scanner's glass. CAUTION: Never place any object that weighs more than 10 kg onto the scanner's glass. 7RPDQXDOO\SODFHDQRULJLQDORQWRWKHVFDQQHU 1 Open the document feeder. 2 Place the original face down onto the glass with the upper left corner of the surface being scanned located at the document home position. Also make sure to smooth out the original with your hand to make sure there is no air between the original and the contact glass. 2-3
