The CHG 4N charger is automatically detected in the Sennheiser Control Cockpit once it is connected to the network, since the CHG 4N is delivered with mDNS activated by default. You can deactivate mDNS after you have configured the charger once. Integrating the CHG 4N charger into a network without DHCP using Auto IP If there is no DHCP server in the network and you are working with automatically generated IP addresses, please observe the following information. ▷ Ensure that the host PC on which the Sennheiser Control Cockpit service is installed is configured so that the IP address is assigned automatically, rather than a static configuration. After several minutes, all chargers in the network will receive a link-local address in the range of 169.254.x.x.
